Portray a small boy playing with chapati dough and watching cartoons. Yeah, you got it, That’s our artist. At a slender age, he has been having his 3-D prototype of cartoon characters in chapati dough. At such an age, all I did was watch cartoons and the rolling pin flying from the chapati dough. Please don’t ask me what was reeling and what was reality. Now jokes apart!!
It’s obvious now that he is a self-learnt artist, he has been bringing lives to his cartoon characters through his sculptures. As he was explaining this, he reminisces his days to sculpting 90’s favourite Pokémon and other cartoon characters. I’m also feeling nostalgic now “athu oru vasantha kalam…”
This sculptor has a very interesting brand name. Ever heard of Lilliputians from Gulliver’s travels by Jonathan Swift? They are a tribe of short species who are not beyond 6 inches. Our sculptor’s brand name is Leeleeput, with a small change in the spelling to make it his own signature leeleeputs. Can you now guess the reason behind his brand name? Yeah, each of his work is not beyond 6 inches. Our sculptor’s leeleeputs are a replica of his client’s near and dear ones. Initially sculpting was a hobby to him, later peer motivation and appreciation transformed this hobby into his most embraced passion.
